CELEBRATE 40 years WITH US!
Assiniboine Community College Students’ Association turns 40 this year!
The Students’ Association was initially established in 1982 as a way to serve the student body and be a voice for students. As a separate entity from the college, the Students’ Association has gone through a lot of changes throughout the decades and we’re here to celebrate all that the Students’ Association is.
Help us celebrate 40 years!

Honouring the Legacy of Pat Josephson
Pat Josephson was an integral part of the Students’ Association for 21 years. Pat was the foundation of the organization, and is described lovingly by past co-workers as the heart and soul of the Students’ Association. As a mentor to many former students and current alumni, Pat shaped the trajectories, future career paths, and ultimately changed the lives of those with whom she formed connections with.
Pat’s legacy created a ripple effect of the upmost care and passion across the Students’ Association and Assiniboine Community College, which resulted in her dedication being received by her mentees. Her legacy is a passing of the torch to those who continue to follow in her footsteps, taking her spirit of devotion to Assiniboine Community College and the SA, every step of the way on their own journeys.
It has been 18 years since Pat Josephson passed away, yet her influence continues to linger in the hearts and minds of staff and alumni, and is felt throughout the college and Students’ Association, where her presence cultivated an extraordinary amount of ardent responsibility to the past students and future faculty of Assiniboine Community College. This amount of care and dedication is still seen today in all facets of the college through alumni and staff that continue her work today.
The Students’ Association would like to thank Pat Josephson for her immeasurable, lasting dedication to the Students’ Association. We would not be where we are today if it weren’t for Pat.
This serves as a reminder to all students and faculty to take great pride in your work, as those who came before us paved the way to success and demonstrated how unwavering compassion and hard work unites us all to be the best that we can be.
Thank you, Pat.
