Jimmy Teichroeb, President
My name is Jimmy Teichroeb, I am 27 years old and am currently in the media and communications program. I love watching movies and plan to work in the industry after collage. I am originally from southern Manitoba and moved here to attend college. I never thought that I’d ever go to secondary school in general, be it college or university. I’m an average student, so my only concern was finding a job. When my brother and sister in-law encouraged me to attend ACC, I was hesitant at first but I’m glad that I did. College life has been hectic and stressful but I have loved every minute of it, especially meeting new people and all the great new experiences, I would not trade it for anything. I do not have much experience in this field but I’m a quick learner and would love the opportunity to grow and help the SA continue to grow, while providing the students of ACC with the best college experience.

Monica Chira, Vice President Diversity & Inclusion
Hi!, my name is Monica Chira. I am currently a student in the Business Administration program at ACC.
I have been active in diverse programs as a volunteer, right now you can find me at WIS (Westman Immigration Service) and I’m also a member of the Immigrant Table at the Brandon Local Immigration Partnership. These experiences help me interact with other people, new perspectives, and different expertise, making me love the business career more.
This journey as a business student is a roller coaster of emotions but at the same time, it is an incredible adventure. My goal is for everyone to feel safe and valued in this program. I want to be another resource to advise you and help you develop and implement activities that create a welcoming environment for all of us.
I believe business students are a fundamental part of Assiniboine Community College and I want to use my previous experience plus the knowledge I’m obtaining to create a positive impact.

Webber Xu, Vice President of Operations
Webber had a professional career in management in the service sector across the Westman region. In 2023, he returned to the Peter School of Business to pursue a higher degree in Business Administration. By tutoring at the campus, Webber demonstrated his commitment and passion to help students to excel in their academic journey. He has enjoyed his academic experience, and would like to bring this positive experience to all students of ACC. In between classes, you can find Webber hopping on different board games on campus.

I always believe there is a lot to experience through interaction with different groups via different activities and live my life accordingly.

Through projects like this, I aim to raise awareness and celebrate the diverse experiences within our community.

Good day, my name is Alec Walters. I am a first year student and I am a part of the Social Service Worker programme and am a candidate for the position of Health and Human Services representative. I have prior experience being a member of a student council where I served as a vice president and aided in representing students and helping them to address their concerns. We were able to successfully carry out activities such as a ‘Clean Up Day’ where clubs and societies came out to clean our school community and a Town Hall where students were able to have the concerns directly addressed by members of the schools executive committee. As a first year student I may not be aware of all the concerns that students within this programme may have, but I am willing to listen and learn through active engagement with you and help us to grow as individuals. I believe that by working together and trusting in each other we can have a productive school year. I look forward to the opportunity to be a strong voice for my fellow students and act as an agent for positive change.
