Join the Students’ Association Council!

The Students’ Association Council is looking for a student to fill several positions on the Students’ Association Council. We are inviting students to apply for: 

  • LGBT2SQ+ Representative
  • Centre for Adult Learning Representative
  • Agriculture and Environment Representative
  • Trades Representative

Being a part of the students’ council is a great opportunity for students to gain leadership experience in an environment geared toward their success. The selected students will have access to professional development throughout the year and will have a chance to make a difference here at Assiniboine Community College. Any full-time or part-time student which continues for the length of the term is eligible to apply. 

The deadline for applications is Thursday, October 13 at 4:00pm. Students that are interested in joining the Students’ Association Council are encouraged to contact Julia Teichroeb at SAPresident@Assiniboine.net for more information.

The selected representative should be prepared to attend the Students’ Association Council orientation to be held at Elkhorn on October 22 – October 23.

What is the Students' Association Council (SAC)?

The Students’ Association Council (SAC) is a group of elected student representatives that are primarily responsible for making decisions on behalf of the ACCSA in order to better support our students. The SAC work together to bring services, advocacy, and supports to the entire Assiniboine student body.

The SAC Experience

The experience you’ll gain from being a SAC board member is the number one benefit of these positions. It looks great on a resume, and you’ll have ample opportunityto use your voice and express the needs of Assiniboine students.
