SUMMARY:Project Red Donation Period
DESCRIPTION:Project Red is an annual holiday campaign put on by the ACC Students’ Association in collaboration with the Assiniboine Community College Foundation. The purpose of Project Red is to ensure that all ACC students are supported during the holidays in the form of a holiday hamper. With inflation and the cost of food rising\, the Students’ Association has seen an overwhelming response of hamper applicants compared to last year\, which is why we need your support for this initiative. \nWe are hopeful that you will consider donating to Project Red so that we can help all students who are in need this holiday season. SUMMARY:Trans Day of Remembrance - Noon Service & Candlelight Vigil
DESCRIPTION:Trans Day of Remembrance Ceremonies (Brandon) \nMonday\, November 20th\, at Knox United Church\, 451 18th Street\, Brandon MB. \nParking is available on 17th Street (a one-way street) behind the church. \nThe Memorial Noon Service\, followed by a light lunch is from 12:00PM to 1:00PM. This service includes ceremony\, introductions\, a guest speaker\, prayer and words of remembrance\, with the reading of names of those lost in 2023 followed by a moment of silence. This afternoon event is available in person and will stream online on Knox United Church’s YouTube Channel. A light lunch is provided by Knox United Church after the service. \nThe Candlelight Vigil in the evening on the same day starts at 5:30PM outside on the lawn of Knox United Church.
